WinRAR is a great way to share files on the internet, for example. But you sometimes want it so that only you or the visitors of your forum or website, or even family will see the files. This is how to set a password to RAR.

Steps :: 

1. Create a new RAR file, and drag the files you want in it, as you always do. Alternatively, you can Right Click the file and click "Add to Archive" 
2. As you do this, a menu should pop up. In there, click the "Advanced" tab and then "Set Password" on the middle-right
3. Now you can set the password. "Encrypt File Names" makes the user write the password before seeing the RAR.  
4. Click "OK" And now the file is password-protected!! Finish.
